Voltmeter & water temp gauge hook up? Help
All,
Has anyone hooked up a voltmeter and/or water temp gauge to their MCS? How have some of you folks hooked this up? Pictures are greatly appreciated. I was thinking of tapping right into the lighter in front of the cup holders for the voltmeter. I have no idea for the water temp. I was thinking of buying the MINI gauge pod panel that you can get at MINI or Out Motoring.
Thanks in advanced,
ARLY

I looked for installation instructions all over various websites and was never able to find any so when I bought my MINI I had the dealer do the install. Shouldn’t be too hard but as I say I was never able to find install instructions. Also the gauge pods are for volt and OIL temp not water temp. I can tell you that the oil temp gauge sensor replaces the oil drain plug. Also my normal readings are 100c (yes the gauge is in celsius not fahrenheit) had to look close to see this when I was showing 100 degrees operating temp.

Im going to be doing a volt meter and a intake air temp guage pretty soon
using the same facia from Outmotoring.
I think I will tap the cigarette wire or any switched wire from the fuse box
for the 12v.
The intake pyrometer will be mounted in the lower airbox since I am
already using a Pilo intake. Power will be fed through another
switched fuse. Should be pretty easy to install. Why an intake temp
guage you ask? I got one laying around from my WRX part out.
