Accelerator cover / attachment to help with heel/toe shifting?

I think it's a combination of my long legs and the positioning of the pedals, but for the life of me I cannot heel/toe when braking and downshifting my MCS.

Does anyone know of any place to buy a cover that can be attached on top of the accelerator pedal to make it easier to heel/toe shift (e.g., make it wider up top to decrease the space between the accelerator and the brake pedal)?

Thanks.

I'm also tall and had trouble heel-toeing my MCS. Then I had it at the dealership to replace the brake fluid (2 years) and it came back very mushy (had to take it back for re-bleeding). Finally, it came back with enough travel for heel-toe but not enough to be bothersome; although I'd still like the pedals to be rock solid and still be able to heel-toe.

As for your question, Mossmini sells a pedal set that I'm looking into getting myself. http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=36735 . It looks like a winner for the last of us who actually know how to heel-toe.

I'm 6'8" and I cant use the "proper" technique either. I use most of my foot on the brake then "roll" my foot over to blip the gas pedal.

While not "Heel/Toe", you'd be surprised at how many people actually use this meathod of heel/toe. I know when I'm drive a race car, this is the only way I feel comfortable. Especially in a tight footbox like a formula car this is the ONLY way to heel toe if you right foot brake.

In the end, it's the same thing.

Hell toe cover

I saw a Mini race car, where a plate was bolted over the accelerator pedal.
It was straight on the right edge, and had a protrusion on the left edge to bring it right up against the brake pedal.

I thought about making one out of plywood.

THIS is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm not very handy so I couldn't make it myself. The pedal set mentioned above looks good, but still looks too narrow up top, which is where my foot would hit the accelerator while I'm rolling it over to blip the throttle during braking.

This IS the other form of "heel/toe". Heel/toe doesn't necessarily mean it literally. There are two ways to do it. I roll in the MINI - I think you have to - there isn't enough room!

I use the roll-the-ball-of-my-foot-over-onto-the-gas-method, too... Kinda flex my ankle and stab the throttle momentarily...

I do the "roll" as well. Having size 14EEE helps.
