I had a clearbra put on my car and it is fantastic. Best thing I ever did for the car. My front still looks brand new with no dings or scratches. I even had a front end collision in my car and it still protected the paint from scratching.

I too had the clear bra but on my car. Compared to another MC of the same vintage without it, I have far fewer paint chips and dings in the front end. I recommend it (you can find installers cheaper than the dealers too.)

I had it on my MCS and just removed it after 12000 miles. It was getting dull and becoming very noticeable. Waxing and polishing the car was a huge pain being that it would get stuck along all the seems. After pulling it of, there is a somewhat noticeable difference in wear as the paint under it is still brand new as apposed to the 12000 paint not protected.

Never really understood any type of bras myself. At what point do you actually decide to enjoy and drive the car for what it is. The 3M stuff will start to get a flat look and at some point it's just going to be obvious that it's there.

Very happy that I took mine off now before the paint was too different due to wear.

onasled,

I think you may have had a cheaper product possibly. The high quality stuff, does not fade, and some come with guarantees. My friend had one on for 6 years in the sun and he had no problems after it was removed.

For cars with aftermarket paint on the front, you should really get the

clearbra installed. On other cars that I have factory paint, I don't use it and just drive 3sec behind the car ahead on the expressway.

I use Meguiar's NXT Techwax (polymer wax) on my Xpel and it shines and
cleans off very easy with some QuikDetailer after a run.

This is possible, but I believe it was 3M. Maybe that my car is Black it may just show up more.

That shouldn't happen--it is designed to allow the paint to age the same as the bare paint. You should contact the company that installed it. Mine has a lifetime warranty and if it ever gets any tears, or dulls or miscolors, they will replace it for free. It should be good enough that the company has the faith to give it a lifetime warranty.
