aero kit question

i was just wondering if with the aero front bumper you have to use the black aero grill. because i like the look of the body colored slat grill look.

I found this picture a few post down. I don't know if it takes anything special to make it work but it looks great I think.

The top grill will stay fine as the aero kit does not change the bonnet. However the front bumper will require some modifcation in order to make the grill slates fit.

here is ours

What if I wanted to change the stock body colored grill that came on my 03 JCW MCS with NO aero, to the matte black (aero style) upper and lower grill? Will it work? I've heard that it wont. I wish it would.

this is not too hard to do...if you are at all a DIY person you can do it! Haf and I did his...then did mine....it just requires pulling off the bumper poping out hte old one...and then dremiling new slots cause the Aero grille has different tabs than the stock one...also you have to shave down the back of the aero grille a little....it's thicker than the stock one...

see here this was when I still has the stock bumper...but I had installed the aero grilles
