Is it just my eyes, or is the "smoked" light in the first picture smaller than the OEM light? From their description of the manufacturing process it would seem that they should be the same size, so maybe it is just an illusion.

either way, I like them.

edit: YIKES!!! $820 for the pair of tail lights!

I don't like them that much... although, if someone does, please post a before and after pic

Google translation:
Hand made one item! The middle ring part has become the LED, it is the force perfect score. Because not yet paint / it is the not yet assembly, please request paint / installation, at the nearby car shop.
It is popularity centralization. Being to be small-numbered arrival ahead of time * *

Led tail lights

Aloha,
I am in the proses of changing my side markers and tail lights.
I've bought some from Ebay for tails.
www.maxspeed-motorsports.com
Here's another place to get them.
They also have interior LED lights!
www.installer.com/lights/index.html
Scroll down to the bottom.
Turn signals will blink faster cuz of lower voltage.
Mabey a resistor in line will help?

I love the Clear Corners units but $800 is a little steep for me also. Did you check out prices for some of the headlight mods for other cars?

I bought a set of tail from Ebay and am planning to take them apart and build my own (attempt to anyway). At least I can smoke them out while they are apart.

Clear Corners states that they use a lens to diffuse the Dots look, any ideas/suggestions/vendors for such a beast?

I share all of your feelings....it looks so much smaller then the other one?
I'm sure its the same size but weird!

In terms of price? Yah , i agree thats too much, but it is a real LED light system. You get what you pay for

Are you talking about changing the tail lights with the pre-made LED lights that just change with the old bulbs? Those have been found to actually be less efficient. The way those are made they only send light out in one direction and actually are darker not brighter. The direction thing is very important because it means someone has to be at a certain angle to see that your brake lights are on, otherwise they will be unable to see the lights very well

The CF dash is nice on that site but at 158000 yen, that makes it about $1540! A bit pricey!!

Yes, a true LED system would be pretty sweet, but I don't have the clams

The LEDs I got are directional and have some lights on the sides also, so they light the reflector some. I have some in the rear fog lights and they seem to work OK.
When I get them in I'll see how they work and try to post some pix.
Should be next week if I'm not too busy.
