M7 carbon bonnet.

Anybody out there purchased one? Any pros or cons? Latching issues? Does it come with the bonnet scoop in carbon? Yes, I am going to paint it. Tuls, is your carbon bonnet from M7? Peter is there a lead time for purchase? Any info or recommendations as to paint prep?

Yes yes it is...here are some pics

there is no scoup...but it lends it self to kewl things like mine...you WILL need a shop to help you...it was not a factory replacment...it was alot of work...if I didn't have the friends I do I woulda been screwed...other than that...I LOVE IT

also for half the money and from what I can tell a better product there is VIS

I had to fabricate a grill mount...the one that is there is a skinny not supported piece of fiber glass.....check out this one...it looks OEM....

I REALLY like the way you had that painted. I might get one now and get it painted but just leave the CF as the stripes in some cool pattern.

Very, very cool looking!

Is this the one from M7?

Why did you paint it on the car?

Yes it's M7s

The reason you paint it one the car is for what's called blending...no two paints will match perfectly...just cause they are mixed at different times...so if you look closly at the pic you will see the pannels are exposed from the "fenders" and "hood scoups"

ur mini look great,
more than I felt nessisary...and trust me I have been workin on cars since I was a kid...everone in my family raced cars...even mom....and i am not talking drag racing....I am talking watkins glenn and Lime rock park...so I am not a novice in the garage....

is it that much lighter?...LOL...lets say I can toss the carbon one like a large frisbee...the stock on...I need to pic up with two hands...I think Peter said it;s only 20 lbs difference...I think it's more...but then again 20 lbs is alot...and well it all adds up...I have no back seats...so the two together gotta be 50 -75 lbs...when I to the wheels and exahust who knows where I'll be at...LOL WOO HOO!
