If you use the scotch brand that was recommended in the other link it will be easy. That tape is the key. I got it from Terry's Auto Supply in Hollywood Fla. I keep holding out on painting my flares and I still want to work a little wide body up

Oh those things LOL . I took out the fog lamps last summer and made brake ducts out of them. The " mesh " is the same material we use to make our grill sets.

fishbulb- if you have an "S" try posting a trade in the marketplace forum, I traded my S emblems for regular cooper emblems- just a thought...

gettin the handles off is the easy part. its putting them on... pay close attention to takin them off. with the right tools and some patience, it is an easy but delicate task.

It's not as hard as some other makes. Pay attention not to scratch the paint on the door as you re-install them. I worked at a restoration/rebuild shop and learned to put tape under the handle while installing them until I was ready to tighten it. The paint on the handle will hold up fairly well assuming you don't open the door with your keys in that hand.

There is one part that I would like to get rid of the most, that I have not seen a replacement for. Has anybody? I want a non-chrome fuel cap. I really want one painted to match my body (HB), though black to match my roof would be OK.

Anyone? Bueller?

Finally!! I got somewhat of a good picture of my car. Everything's been blacked out - interior and exterior, except for internal area of headlights.

koolmini and I talked about this a while before he did it and it does take a lot more work than many might be willing to do. You'll have to remove the interior door panels to remove the handles.

But I do think that his black door handles and fuel door look awesome!
(even if I am a chrome lover!)

Sorry for teasing everyone, I've gotten a lot of questions about it. It is the BBM prototype hoodscoop that I begged for for about 6-7 months, I don't think it's gunna get to production though. Somebody on NAM is building one very similar to mine.
