Where did the coolant come from? Is the car messed up already? Leaky coolant...that's a BIG deal. Maybe the twin charge setup was leaking.

If you have to ask what a splitter does performance wise, it's likely nothing for you. With these MINI splitters, you have to be going really fast to get anything from them due to the overall poor design of the car. People who drive fast enough to need something like this, know what it is.
If you want to learn about the aerodynamic stuff, a great beginner's book is Race Car Aerodynamics by Katz (I think his first name is Joseph or something). It's a bit old so you won't see the new supercars in there but you'll understand why no matter what anyone does, the MINI's areodynamics are hopeless. You'll even learn why the MINI has a HORRIBLE intercooler layout.
On the other hand, I have to agree it looks AWESOME!!!!!!

Also on the bumper they are using ATI gauge pods.

Maybe you could actually explain what in fact the splitter does and why and when it was called a splitter, as I gather you don't agree that it's the same as a spoiler or air dam.
Thanks.
Oh, and by the way, I actually do know quite a lot about areo and hydrodynamics. Thanks.
I think you will find that the areo problems with the Mini lie more at the rear of the car rather then the front.

Those with Hamann splitter, do you fix it the same way too?

I spoke to Ravspec and they said that they can give me a coupon code for better pricing. The pricing is $379.00 shipped, it's about $60.00 discount. Coupon code is "NAM379". I guess you don't get if you don't ask.
They also mentioned if more people want to get on this they can probably do better in terms of pricing. Sort of like a group buy. Just passing on the information. I think they mentioned $339.00 shipped for 15 or more.

Joker, do you know of any rear/low under rear valance spoiler for MCS - not a splitter but a spoiler similar to the one that started this thread. I still believe that it could be turned around with the arc facing back - just a thought to cover some of the open area behind the rear tires...

i have the hamman style spoiler and bolted it in at the four points plus added 3 more in the center cuz it was wobbly....i def do not recommending using the screw under the bumper.
also....i have access to a small amount of these spoilers....not sure on the pricing yet but i think i can get em for around $250 ea.
click on the link below to see pix of it installed on my car
