Does anyone know if it is possible to install the MINI Auto A/C control panel to replace the standard A/C? Is it a simple "plug and play" or does it require dealer reprogramming? Here in Canada Auto A/C is a a $550 option (not included in the premium pkg). I had it on my last MINI and am now spoiled, I have a line on buying a used one cheap and wanted to know if it could be done before I buy it.

I saw this in a UK accessory booklet. It's about 2000 pounds and then about 12 hours of labour. So would probably cost around 5000 usd to install.
