I think someone should put a pin wheel or propeller on theirs. That would be a first! Forget the tow hook, put on something usefull and intertaining.

(to me) sticking out too much forward. looks ok?

my car's hibernating so could not take any better picts outside... it looks
good from the front.

are you kidding? have you ever tired to move a car thats in gear with the ebrake on with either a flatbed or even a towtruck?

yeah, they would get about 100 feet before giving up

yeh, a flat bed can pull it up easier but they can also just tow any car
with or without the hook...so not so much of an issue.

but it's just screwed on so someone could come along and steal it if they
wanted it that bad. the only place I park my car is at the gas station
and the dealer (well, my house too), so i don't think it would ever get
stolen.

i can remove it before taking it into service too, i guess.

Ken--

I just purchased a tow hook from the same place and Holy Cr@p. It's bigger than I though it was going to be.

yah, i was like wtf?! myself too at first. the ring needs to be able
to swing back and not hit the body..that's why the post is so long.

i removed the adjustment nut on the ring side to lessen the post length
by about 9-10mm. you can add a spacer on the car side to get the
hook to tighten up to where it's horizontal.

hope that helps. i like mine... it really grew on me after a few weeks.

you know whats funny.... since i have had my car... being towed about 5 times. I have yet to use the towhook.... they use the j-hooks in the frame and then use tire tiedowns....

-Josh

I always have my towhook in...
