Comfy drivers seat - is it possible??

I'm having major back aches after driving the mini for extended periods of time. Is there a seat mod or something that could provide a more comfy seat for my back? I'm not giving up my ride but definitely need something if I'm going to use it for long hauls.

after getting the sparco's.... no problemo

I drove to Vegas in them and didn't even feel it. They do take some getting used to around your thighs but my back felt like I didn't even drive that far.

Sports seats or standard seats? Your discomfort could be caused by your seat adjustment. Is your discomfort caused by using the clutch, brakes or gas pedal? When you extend your arms to the steering wheel can you rest you wrist on the top of the wheel? If not move your seat forward until you can. From there change seat adjustments slowly until you can find a comfortable position.

Have standard seats right now, have been "messing" with the seating adjustments to see if that will help. Hubby says it's 'cause 'baby's got back'

Will have to check out those Sparco's and see what's helpin' you gel ED

Yeah, I hate the stock seats. One of my first mods (after suspension) is seats with decent lumbar and bolstering.

Which Sparcos do you have? I didn't get a chance to peep them at the dyno day.

Huh? Wuzzatallabout?

Your MINI decoder page is about the silliest thing I’ve seen and very creative.

Leather seats with lumbar adjustment!!!! Ok, so it was an expensive **** and another reason to get leather, but I have no regrets! Back feels fine even after 10 hours of driving.

I keep my old Polarguard winter jacket bunched up down against the seat for a lumbar support pillow.....for me, I found the sport seat even worse, so with the standard seat and my jacket as a pillow, my back is fine on long trips.....and I always have a jacket in the car in case I ever need it, or need to bring it in to a restaurant to use as a pillow.

My leather sport seats were great on the drive home when I picked up my car. Went 1400 miles without a problem.
