OE roof rack question...

Can someone that has a OE roof rack with bike-fork attachment measure the tire tray for me? From the fork mount to the very rear of the tray. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

OE roof racks are somewhat rare, but be patient and someone will be able to answer you.

I have the rack, but do not have the bike rack or I would have responded to your first post about this. . .

You could also call a top-notch dealership such as Classic MINI which is one of our vendors here who gives NAM members a very significant discount on parts!

Classic MINI: Phone:800.388.1098 or 440.266.6700

I'm going to call it 46 1/2 inches.

I measured the aluminum tray at 41 1/2 inches.

As Randy says, "hope that helps."

Me too

I also have the roof rack with the bike rack that attaches to the tires not the fork. I have plenty of room for my bikes with some to spare. Even if your bike is a little longer you should be ok. But your probably doing yourself a favor getting the measurement. The oe rack is very solid. Good luck.

Thanks...I'm getting it installed on Friday, April 1st, and will let you guys know if the bike fits properly. Hopefully I won't be taken for an April Fool!

I don't have the factory bike mount but I do like the Rocky mounts noose. I had to cut a couple of inches off the tray to get teh hatchback to be able to open all the way up. http://www.shoprockymounts.com/0670.html
