Can you replace the scoop on the M7 or ViS CF hood, or is it one molded piece?

its all molded into one piece..the only way to get another hood scoop on there is to cut the old one out and put in a new one.

umm just from carrying both, i can say that the stock hood weighs easily twice as much, if not more. but i dont know for sure exactly how much it weighs.

This is the best use of CF I have seen yet on a MINI. I love how the 'stripes' are 'reversed' and offer a peek at the CF below the paint. Great job!

2perCooper,
Excellent pics!
Nice paint job.
Great use of CF for the scoop + stripes, kinda stealthy at first glance.
What next?
How about CF side mirror covers?
M7 front splitter?
Paint the wheel arches and skirts?
CF IC cover?
CF dash and shift ****?
So much work to do!!!

I see what you mean by the bigger gap in the front... Still looks cool though.

TY
I have a lot more planned...but baby steps
Hopefully soon Ill have my wheels and BBK put on.
As far as CF goes...I have the JCW mirror caps and boot handle on order, so they should be on shortly...
I do want the M7 CF Splitter, but I hear that it's a pain to put on with the Aero front apron..it can be done, but a real ball buster. So well see.

SWEET!
I don't usually go in for CF ('cept maybe canoe paddles), but WOW - that is SO cool!
I don't even mind the slightly wider hood/bumper gap. It's got a little bit of a piranha-underbite thing happening!

I agree i like it i wonder what it would look like on Hyper Blue since its just a shade lighter. I also wonder how it will look it conjuction with a white roof and mirrors.

Looks great! So much better than a naked CF hood, IMHO.
Has anybody asked you yet how much the paint / clearcoat weighs?

I was wondering that same thing myself after reading about the pouring on of the clearcoat!
Might need some before and after weights. . .

I should have done that, but it's a matter of oz.'s really. i really coulndt tell the difference when picking up the bare hood compared to after it had been painted and clearcoated.
