05 Owners, please help!

I am in the process of retrofitting the "puddle lights" on my '03 S door card (these are the lights that shine down on the ground from under the doors when you open them). **** as I am, I'd like my lights to be as close to the "stock" location as possible. Therefore, I need to know the location of the edges of the lights, i.e:

How many inches/centimeters from the "end" of the door (furthest from the car)?

As a check, how many inches/centimeters from the other "end" of the door (closest to where the door attaches to the frame)?

Finally, how many inches/centimeters from the "front" and "back" of the door? (is the light in the middle of the bottom of the door card, or a little closer to the "inside" or "outside" edge)

Please save me a nerdy trip to the dealership with a ruler and/or tape measure. Thanks!

tradiuz is right - it is dead center front to back and side to side. There are 2 bolts on the underside of the door that are 26" inches apart - the center of the light is 13" from either bolt.

Puddle lights? Nifty detail. This I must see. I don't think I have driven at night yet, but I will definitely look under my car when I do (and it is stationary).

Thanks folks

I knew you'd come through for me.

BTW, I'll post a DIY for anybody else interested in doing this, w/ part numbers. It HAS been done before (I think there's a DIY on MINI2, in fact). I'll be putting amber LEDs in the door handles too, as well as attempting to approximate the amber ambient lighting. Thanks again!
