Here's what I've learned while researching my own roof graphic:

Perforated vinyl has shorter life span than full vinyl. About 40% shorter. The life of it, like full vinyl, depends upon the care you put into it and how much sun and weather exposure it's subjected to. But generally, expect your perforated vinyl to last between 24 and 48 months.

 

finally checkered my roof tonite i've been meaning to do this for a LONG time and finally went to the vinyl graphics store and ordered the stuff. got the 3m 7-year vinyl, supposedly the same material cooper flag uses, and cut them into 9" squares. did a dry application so didn't go as perfectly as my hood and boot stripes, but i'm very satisfied for having spent only 40 bucks and 3 hours of labor i like it a lot, tho i'm scared that it now looks a bit like a clown car

What is average price for custom?

 

You can check w/ Aesthetic Creations, or any of the vendors here on NAM - custom prices depend (I'm pretty sure) on what your graphic looks like and/or if they have to actually create the graphic FOR you (some people are just gifted and can hand them a file.) I'm on the edge - I want one, but I'm a little wary of going "overboard" on the "flair" for the car...and I didn't realize the shelf life of the graphics aren't what I thought they were.... (read a few earlier posts on this thread...)

 

Here are the images of my UJ with BRG coloring to match my car.
I have to say I really like the 911 dedication graphic...that will be the next one after the UJ fades or gets damaged.

Just got this graphic installed 2 weeks ago. Got it from Cooper Flags and AutoGraphix in Roswell, NM did the install. Couldn't be happier! The viper stripes are new as well.

 

Is that a Peugeot Cooper?

I saw Lyles car from Vinyle Styles at MMMT, he did a Black Vynyle on his entire roof and it looked great.... an easy way to change your roof color without paint. Lyle is the man!!

I know its an old thread but Im looking for a picture of a particular roof I want to copy. I have a PW with a gloss black roof. I wanna do a checker flag using gloss black (the roof now) and flat/matte black. Someone on NAM has this. I saw the picture just the other day and now I cant find it. Any help? I already have a vinyl shop working on it.

I'm doing flat black checkers with my gloss black roof also. I'm working on making my own airborn mini

 

I thought about doing that as well... or with silver to match the paint. Maybe when I re-do it. Most likely, it'll still have a graphic too.

Cause that's what I kinda look like driving my MINI. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Had a Cooper Flags graphic of Roy Liechtenstein's BLAM but since I have no garage the graphic only lasted but 2 years in Florida's sun and humidity not to mention three hurricanes in one season. The vinyl cracked, spidered and mildewed. Had to have it removed and the roof repainted, major league bummer. This time air brushed and 2 coats of clear applied then let the weather do as it may.

 

Is it difficult to remove the graphics for the roof when you whant to change them of they need removing? Why did you have to paint teh roof again?

 

I think that is going to look nice on your mini, i was thinking of getting a fingerprint graphic for mine.
