Interior/Exterior Aero kit... How much and show 'em if you got 'em

Classic can get prepainted ones, but they are shipping from Germany (?) and take much longer to receive. You're better off getting a primered one and finding a good local shop that can match it to your car.

Check with Classic to compare the pricing for prepainted kit. I'm planning to get aero side skirts only, and the prepainted pieces are each only $60 more. For a full kit there will be a bigger price difference that should make it cheaper to paint locally. But for me, the price makes it worthwhile and I can avoid getting a body shop involved (I plan to install myself). From what I understand, primed pieces can be shipped almost immediately, and prepainted pieces take several weeks.

It USED to be (Early 05) that they were available factory prepainted in Red or Yellow, else just in primer. There was no difference in price at that time between factory painted and primed. Might it be if they're charging some fee that they're getting primed ones painted and selling? To save customers a step?

Things to be aware of:
1. The front turn signals have a bottom tab which extends a little too far down and rubs the deep pockets of the fog lights from behind the bumper (difficult to describe). You may need to grind some of the tab off to get it to screw down flush.
1a. The side arch lights may not slip easily into the aero front bumper. Compare stock vs. aero and you should see smaller "clearance" holes in the aero pockets. I used the dremel again to open them up slightly to match the stock holes. The lights slipped in perfectly after that.
2. The standard side skirts have several (10) black clips and 2 white ones used to attach to the side of the car (not the ones on the bottom, they are easy to remove). The black clips will all pretty much break when you remove the skirt so you will need replacements for re-installing the aero skirt. Just re-use the clips from the bottom side.
3. There are 4 push in clips in the regular side skirt under the silver metal trim panel. Don't worry about pulling the silver panel off because it is held down with double-sided stick tape and you will bend it trying to peel it up. Just pull up the weather stripping along the bottom of the door and pry your fingers behind the skirt along this top edge. Pull up slowly but steadily and the skirt will pop off of the first clip which will still be stuck in the door sill. Move further along the skirt and repeat to release the skirt from all 4 clips. You should be able to remove the skirt from the car and then remove the clips - they aren't used on the aero kit. Use gloves if possible - it hurts the backs of your fingers while prying the skirt up and you are pulling with a lot of force (steady force, not jerking force).
4. If you have PDC on your car, the rear sensors will get relocated from the old bumper to the new one. The sensors pop free of the trim rings, then you can release the trim rings from the bumper. Installation is reversed.
I took forever on installation (5 hours?), but you may be faster than that.
Good luck with it.

The picture I would like to see is the aero kit on a PW. I know there are alot of pictures out there but what I want to see is the original chrome grill. I have seen some pictures but none that were on a PW.
I have the side skirts to install and have been seriously thinking of getting the front bumper. I saw a thread that mentioned that MINI has an adapter for the lower grill but I called Classic and the person I spoke with was not aware of such a part.
I know that keeping the standard grill is not the most common thing to do but I prefer a more classic with a hint of being agressive. I personally am not in love with the black grills.
