what part of LA ? I know of at least 3 shops that work on Mini's. Not sure if they have installed a bar yet.

Pm me and I will send you the info.

If you can get it to central Illinois - I can help you install it. I installed the one in my car - not too difficult - but it's a bit time consuming.

DId you cut the hole on your side panels? How long does it take?

Yes - I had to cut a hole in each rear side panel for the rear braces (did it with a combination of tin snips and a dremel). I still need to make some covers to cover the holes (they aren't pretty).

Probably took about 6-7 hours to install the bar with most of the time spent cutting and refitting the side panels to check fit. The inner rear fender liners will need to come out as well to allow access to the bolts that hold the rear legs of the bar. Not a big deal - just lots to take apart and put back together.

I was under the impresssion that Autopower would do the install. They are located somewhere in the Valley. Can't remember at the moment and too lazy to look it up. I am curious too since I am wanting a 6-point from them and will drive down to L.A. to get it/have it installed. How much do you think it would cost to have a 6-point installed?

Autopower is in San Diego. I have heard abotu a $300 install price but I am not sure if that is for a race car (IE: no interior) or a street car. If it is $300 with interior installed that is a steal .
