Aero Grill installation Los Angeles
Ok. I am not going to do this my self. (no garage space, no tools, temporary in LA moving back to NYC in 3 weeks)
So, if you have done this in the past and can show me your results. I am willing to pay you to get this installation done in my car.
PS: I love my new mini so I am looking for someone that can show me that they did a nice job on their own car.
Thanks everyone.

Just about any reputable body shop can do it. There are three cars in our local club who have the conversion done, and all but ours was done at a shop.
Just print a motoringfile.com write up, take it with your parts to the shop, hand it to the shop tech guy and say "how much?" Three hours (4 max) labor by an expert shop guy should suffice.

I like that idea I might look around for the right shop, or just wait and do it myself once I am back in NYC.
(Just moved to a dream situation for me: covered garage with space to spare for this type of DIY)

There is a louver, on the bumper (not the hood), just above the lower chrome trim surround piece. After removing the chrome trim (you must remove the bumper cover first... not as hard as it sounds) , you'll need to pry away the painted trim piece that covers the structured part of the louver.
If your car is any color other than black, you'll need to paint it because it will show through your new aero grill. Some folks have cut the thing out entirely with a dremel, but you don't have to. When that is done, you typically need to paint the actual aluminum bumper structure that shows through, black.
PM me and I'll send you a couple pics of the specific parts that get removed, if you like. It'll make better sense then.
