I currently have an Asto Black Mini with a black roof, and white bonnet stripes. I was thinking of changing it up.

I want to take off the hold stripes, and in their previous location just run four perhaps silver, pin stripes down in the same spot, the goal would be for it to look like there are two black stripes on the front of the car, with a silver accent. Does anyone like this idea, or have done something similar, what do you think?

 

Go for it but I don't think it'll turn out like you want. Be creative, though, and you might be able to pull it off.

 

I have a solid silver stripe, and two silver pinstripes, one running along each side, as mine.

On the side, I've doubled them up, and had some custom lettering done.

I messed up on the hood install, but I got them replaced, and am getting the front and back put on soon.


I do like the new 'checkmate' swoop though, and if I hadn't already obligated myself and purchased these, I might have went for a design more like that.

 

I think you're on to something and you should pursue it. If it were me, I'd Photoshop it to death just for fun to get an idea of what it would look like.

 

Sorry, it won't work. Its going to look like 4 skinny pinstripes spaced apart on a wide black hood. Someone here (NAM) has ever so slightly lighter stripes on a black car, very,very nice look
