Nice I know what the CF hood looks like, but am unsure what the "rear lid" is. Any links or pics?

BTW...I love the looks of your MINI!!!!

Yes, the ones that are on eBay. I've been contemplating them for a while now and have talk with the guy a few times.
This is not for looks as I will most likely paint these parts. I got these for weight reduction, not only in the CF, but also in the leaving out of all the stuff that usually bolts to it, like headlights.
Here is an acquaintance's Mini with the hood.

Polycarbonate glass replacement is also in the works.

Is your car only a track car......no headlights?

let us know how the fitment is.

I heard the VIS racing one has a better fit than other ones.

Carbon fiber panels and headlight removal to make up for the weight of the sunroof?

Just kidding ya, onasled. . . it's been neat watching your MINI evolve into the beast it is today and I love your track videos. . . .

After going to the race at Barber, I have really been wanting to get back out on the track. . . just need to wait for the next BMWCCA DE event. . . .

Go to eBay, and type "mini cooper carbon fiber hood" into the search window. Or copy and paste from this post. If a link was posted, it might only be live for a few days, until the current item's auction ended.

most require additional support to hold in place, but vis is known for their quality so i'd assume hood tie downs wont be necessary...

im in full jealousy mode too onasled! do take plenty of pictures when you get it!

AWSOME!! you will love it...the only thing I recommend if it's in the budget is ruffing up the gelcoat and clearing it, then wet sand and polish

it makes the CF look 5 times deeper!!

Congrats can't wait to see it!

Greg

Have you changed your tune again. Sounds like your going deeper again. I think you better find out why you couldn't touch the 125-128 mph in the back straight at Watkins. 118-120 is a little week.. Just giving you a shot. I guess your thinking about Club racing again. Have you been to Pocono yet. I may be going later this month. I'll let you know. Keep up the good work. Gotta go faster at the Glen. Dump the 3% and put back the 0%. I think your running out of top end. Did you get the Unichip retuned yet? Stay in touch.

Those are some serious speeds, 125-128 , how long is that straight ?
