Um, why not? People like brushed aluminum, wood, chrome, titanium finishes on all sorts of trim on their cars, why not carbon fiber?

You have to admit, it can be as asthetically pleasing as any of those. While I personally believe in using carbon fiber as a functional material more than as a decorative one, it is no worse a choice in decorating a car than any of the other things I just mentioned.

Seems there will be a delay in getting the new JCW CF pieces until Jan. 06, per MINI2

I, personally, don't see the need for CF on most street cars, especially the stick-on fake CF, and IMHO, CF is going to go the way of turned/brushed aluminum on the old 70's T/As and whatnot. . .

But - it's YOUR car, and if YOU like it, then what's it matter what THEY think? At the risk of getting sued by a major shoe maker, 'Just Do It!'
