Interior/Exterior Auto Up Windows

Hello all, Just wanted to comment on the "Auto" up and DSC circut board Ian is offering. First it took almost TWO whole days to get me! Second, the install was painless. It kind of took the fun out of screwing around with after market items that I've come to expect. But the part that floored me was that it worked as advertised. The instructions were /are through. The only suggestion I make to anyone installing on an 05 is just go right to the "Blind" method. It IS NOT that hard. Just a little patience and your outa there in 10 to fifteen minutes and most of that time is unclipping the gang plug from the back of the switch panel. Highly recommend this "mod".

bmers have auto up mini just needs to put a safing sensor in the window molding like they do with the bmws

Auto-up windows is definitely not a safety feature and in fact because the windows do not have any real sensitivity to an object blocking the way, it can be argued that auto-up would be an unsafe addition.
In Europe they allow the driver side auto-up on the assumption that the driver is smart enough to know what he/she is doing - sadly in USA that cannot be assumed
