Star Wars '05 MC "Red 5"

Greetings,
Well after four years of wanting a MC of my very own I have one. Actually I have had it for five and a half weeks. On October 15th it will be decorated by Mike at Aesthetic Creations in the Star Wars theme I have always wanted. All of the decisions up until this point were easy to make. The one final decision is the bonnet design. I like both of them, but I have to settle on one. So what do you guys and gals think? Concept 1 or Concept 2? The roof art is the same in each image.
MTFBWY,
--Will

Of the 2, I prefer concept 1.
My personal feeling is that the roof graphic is a little busy, but it is very cool for us SW fans.

Concept 1. Seems to flow better with the car white pops.

No. 1 most definitely! A more balanced design in keeping with the whole force theme.

Concept 1

Hey. Both are awesome!! I like Concept 1 the best, though. Sometimes, less is more.

Best of Luck.

Both are cool!

My vote is for #2. I like the embedded design in the center stripe in #2 which works well on a Cooper that does not have the scoop to contend with. This sets off the center stripe a lot more than if this were an S. MC owners need to take advantage of that nice open 'canvas' IMO.

1. The logo stands out far better.

I don't see the point of the top though - who's ever going to see it?

Well, hell. There goes the entire Mini roof graphic industry. What were they even thinking??

Total geek out ahead... In Eps. IV, V and VI the Incom T-64 X-Wing does not actually have the Alliance logo on it. Neither does the A-Wing, the Y-Wing or the B-Wing. Although the B-Wing does have that big red "meatball" on the main wing. So I am taking creative license with placement of the Alliance logo.

The roof graphic is for me personally. It's my favorite image depicting the excitment of the Death Star battle in A New Hope (my fav of all six films). AND it has X-Wings in it.

As for who else will see it how about all those people in busses, trucks and the dreaded SUVs that's who! They'll see one cool MINI!

Yeah but it's like viewing a poster on it's side...OEM roof graphics are simple designs, not whole detailed scenes...

Red 5-I think this is one of the coolest freakin things I've seen! Personally, I like #2, but both rock.

Proud Star Wars geek right here!

Please post pics when you actually get the graphics on the car.

I mean It's a cool poster and whatnot - but this is all it'll pretty much end up like:

Doing the sides would make more sense to me at least.

I never said that the sides and boot weren't getting any attention. They've already been laid out and approved. All I was looking for was input on the the bonnet. The poster IS going on the roof.

If you're getting that geeky, why not just put the Rebel Alliance insignia on your helmet, and leave it off the car entirely?

I love concept # 2. It's very clean, and keeps with the helmet idea of a red insignia on a white background.

You obviously haven't seen a lot of the cool MINIs with art on the roofs. The MINI is the perfect canvas for individual expression and creativity. OEM roof graphics are indeed simple designs and many of them are very nice, BUT what I will have on MY MC is not an OEM graphic.

I guess you haven't seen the photos of MINIs with the Mona Lisa on the roof, or the MINI with Michael Caine holding a shotgun http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/Rakey/26292.jpg ,
or the MINI with the Balrog from Fellowship of the Ring on the roof.

I am going to start collecting those images because they are hard to find via Google.

Getting geeky? BWAAHAHA, I have been a geek since I was a little kid. My wife would tell you that I am a perpetual twelve year old trapped in the body of an aging and falling apart adult! By the way, the Alliance logo already is on my helmet.

red 5 you're all clear

--That is a really cool design! I like concept 2 better but it would be nice to see a side profile of what the car will look like on the street. I think concept 2 would be nicer because you don't normally see anything on the bonnet other than the 2 stripes.

You know it's funny that you're thinking of doing this because I have a black MCSa coming in from England that I was going to adorn with Imperial supernovas. I was also thinking of adding sound affects to the tone of tie fighter blaster sounds and T.I.E. fly by sounds.

That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. I have to go change my shorts.

#1 Definately though.

Now I want to see the sides.

BTW: Be careful not to drive it by Skywalker Ranch and the millions of trademark lawyers that Georgie boy employs.
