Ok,
I am asking anyone who has acutally REMOVED the chrome headlight surrounds to please give me a detailed description of how this is/was done.

I fooled with it for 15 minutes today and can't see this going down easily. There also seems to some sort of black adhesive underneath them.

Does the headlight need to come out of the car? What about the power washer part of the surround?

I am desperately seeking answers that will lead to more chrome removal.

pry up on each of the little clips all the way around the edges.

you willneed probably 2 smaller flatheads for this. they will just sort of pop out of the way but not pop the trim ring off. when you get about halfway around, it will be pretty loose, so just get one of the flatheads, jan it underneath and pry it off, the adhesive isnt strong once you get one sice of it loose, it just comes right off.

just be careful prying on the clear part, it will crack the lense easily and you cant just buy a replacement lense, you need a new housing!
