I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Is it better to have a 50 or 60 degree angle, or is it OK if the supports are perpendicular (90 degree angle) to the splitter?

Yes, I was referring to the hardware. Interesting - I thought it would have been stronger at a 90-degree angle. I'm no engineer, though, so who knows.

If you want to copy the angle I have on mine I think you will be ok. I have over 30k miles on this including two off road excurisions at Wwillow Springs and it is still on
