yea Rage!! dont sweat it! its so easy, once U do it the 1st time its all gravy there after.........on the support bars make sure they are at a 50 or 60degree angle (closing the angle! of course if U start w/a 90o angle)

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Is it better to have a 50 or 60 degree angle, or is it OK if the supports are perpendicular (90 degree angle) to the splitter?

If you want to copy the angle I have on mine I think you will be ok. I have over 30k miles on this including two off road excurisions at Wwillow Springs and it is still on
