Hardwiring an accessory - A How-to

I know that this information is available in various threads here on NAM and elsewhere, but I was never able to find a comprehensive guide on how to do it anywhere.............thus my own humble offering to the MINI community.

Nice faq

I am going to have to look into this since I am always getting annoyed when I need to charge my cell phone and only have the car charger since I am out of town.

EXCELLENT WRITEUP. Excellent Pics

You ought to put it up here on NAM like other people do for other DIYs (like driving light installs) complete with the pics

Not sure how to put it up here on NAM. I've emailed the link to Gabe at Motoringfile so we will see if he immortalizes it there.

Pete,

You are better off going to autozone. It was the only auto place I could find the add-a-circuit. I doubt that Radio Shack will have it since it is an automobile specific accessory.

Radio Shack doesn't carry add-a-circuit fuse holders. Neither does Kragen. Autozone or Pep Boys were the only two stores I found that had them a few months ago.
