Gas Tank Lid Decals

LET'S MAKE OTHER TANKS FEEL INADEQUATE.

Have you seen this MINIUSA ad? It says collect all 3! My son brought it home after a trip to the orthodontist. For fun I put it on my car. They seem to be designed for the Cooper, not the S.

Here's the exterior mod:

They were bound in certain car magazines about a month ago - I've only got one but was hoping to complete the set.

Oops! I did a search for "decal" and "gas tank lid" and nothing came up for me. I even checked that collectibles forum... oh, it's in the "post your finds". Sorry mods feel free to delete this thread.

MCSs come with chrome gas lids. MCs do not.

All MCSs usually do. Even without the option for the exterior chome pkg.

The MCSc don't get the chrome gas cap, as there isn't room for it (since it's recessed). The room is needed for the roof mechanics.

My troop (the guy I supervise) just brought me the skull and cross bones decal. But I have a MCS so I think it may just have to go on the display shelf.

Actually, no, they don't. All MCS COUPES do. None of the MCS Convertibles do.

MCS = chrome gas cap
MC, MCC, MCSC = body color "flush" gas cap.

I know because I've been trying to find an owner of a Hyper Blue MC/MCC/MCSC who wants to trade gas caps!

In that cause I would like to find a way to get one on my Sister's MCC. I think it would look sweet.

I've also seen them for sale on ebay. They seem to go for about $15 or so...

I was excited when a friend gave me the skull one, but totally disappointed when I realized I didn't have the flat cap to put it on. It would have really put Pepe in the theme of Halloween!! It's a bummer to see so many things go out that only apply to certain models or model years....
