How do I remove the front JCW badge?

Yesterday I debadged the back of my car (Cooper S, JCW badge) and today I attempted to debadge the JCW badge on the front black plastic grill. I used Goo Gone, a hairdryer, floss, but it won't budge.

Anyone have any success in deleting the front badge?

Thats because it hooks around the plastic grille. Its to keep the JCW thieves from having a counterfeit JCW

You need to remove the lower grille and unclip from behind. You might be able to get at it up on a lift.

Damnit! Well, too bad the damage has been done already. I ended up cracking the "W" in Works trying to pry the sucker off.

I guess the JCW anti-theft measures worked

It actually has two all-thread fastners going through the grill. Take the front bumper cover off (ten minute job), and un-bolt the JCW badge. http://mini.uglydoris.com/archives/000020.html

Goin' stealth, eh?
