Hmmm, that's a good question - as I said, it came from Germany. I have no idea as to whether or not they are available here in the US.

I haven't seen another one here yet!!

Did anyone notice my dash too?? Gotta love the walnut - I haven't seen that on another MINI yet either (other than my old Cooper) - someone must have one!!

Here's my JCW leather/Alcantara - great grip. The flash gave it a brownish tinge but the Alcantara is black.

It is a MINI so he could leave the M and dump the stripes unless he has debadged the outside, in which case we don't want anyone know know that there is any link between BMW and MINI and the car that the wheel is in.

Had 03 wheel rewrapped a couple a years ago
Had the front seam removed and had it stitched blue.
Cost a arm and a leg but well worth it!

I am considering changing my steering wheel but i see that those people who changed to an aftermarket steering and added the new hub that there is a space around the entire hub that is open. Is that with all aftermarket wheels or do i have to create some plastic piece to cover that opening because i don't like that. Please help.

I like the way it looks randy. Where did you get the carbon fiber to cut and what kind of door trim did you use, can i get it at home depot? Also how do i go about installing this new wheel? How do i take the airbag out and etc...? I would appreciate your help. thanks Peter

I had some scraps of CF left over from another project . If you do a search for Carbon Fiber you should be able to find a supplier that can sell it to you in hopefully a small sheet. It is getting REAL hard to find. The door edge trim you can get from any auto parts supply house like Kragen's or Auto Zone. It is the push on U shaped plastic for the edges of the doors . It is a type of chip guard I beleive. I chose the flat bblack. It has a built in adhesive to is is a easy install. Hope this helps.

Id like to know of anyone has converted from the old 2-spoke wheel which i have, to the newer 3-spoke. I really want the JCW wheel, but have no idea what else i need to buy to make it work.

here's mine

Once you have the JCW wheel you really feel the difference (leather, the wheel is thicker, better grip,....)
To me one of the best modifications i have (together with the JCW Sparco's)

If you don't have the 3 spoke wheel, you also have to buy the airbag module. Then it wil be rather expensive.....

One of my favourite features of the MC was the MFSW with the radio/cd player control buttons ON THE BACK of the steering wheel.

I was horrified about the silly little circle on the front of the new wheel. I have EIGHT fingers and two thumbs. Why would I want to operate everything with one thumb, when I have several fingers??!!

So, I cruised around and through Ebay, found someone who could get an old type wheel for me from Germany, and also in Beige/black to match the interior of my MINI.

Here is the result - I LOVE IT!!!
