Show us your steering wheels...

Looking for images of steering wheel covers, or aftermarket steering wheels, and how much and where you got them.

Momo " race " wheel with removable hub. I think the cost for both items was around $ 400.

Where's the kitchen sink?

Actually the sad part is that in all of that it's STILL hard to find a clock when you just need to know the time

How about a breakdown of what all the guages are? Looks very cool tho

I know it looks a little busy to some but they are all useful at various times

Starting lower left and proceeding clockwise.

Small blue screen is the controller for the Dension 40 gig hard drive mp3 player.

Small switch box on top of that is the controller for the M7 NOS system.

Pro mini oil pressure gage.

Hot Lap lap timer .

Mini Tach

Gtech Pro.

Mini Speedo.

Pro Mini boost gage.

PLX wideband Air Fuel gage.

And in the lower console water temp and amp meter.

Releived ! I dont mind wearing my harness .I had a Schroth in for 2 years before I put the five point in and wore it 95% of the time . I do the same with my G-force and when the harness isnt on the stock seat belt is. I will be forced to go with the 5 point all the time when my new seats arrive in a couple of weeks but I don't mind. Belting in gives me something to do while the car is warming up. I have always had this reacurring thought of the SW air bag going off and breaking my nose with my own hand. The Mini has a little problem with, shall we say, pre mature air bag deployment. I haven't seen a SW unit go off but so far 3 of the side apron have deployed for no apparent reason. Mini did all they could in each case to prove that there was impact of some type which there wasn't. BTW on the track I wear a full face helmet as well.

So does anyone use steering wheel covers? I generally think that they are a bit cheezy but am looking for something nice to spruce up my wheel.

Great material . It was one of the main reasons I switched out my wheel. Great grip , NO slip. Of course now that has FORCED me to have some seats made of the same stuff

So true!

I want these gloves, I can really recommend driving with gloves, even if you're not on the track, it might look a bit weird but god damn it's so sweet I don't care if I look silly.

I tryed the wheelskin thing, But i didn't like the way it fit on the 10 oclock and 2 oclock positions on my 03 steering wheel.(humps) So i did a steering wheel exchange with those awesome people at www.myminiparts.com I went with black leather on the sides and White on top and bottom. I'll take pics soon. Pete will help you out at www.myminiparts.com
