I made these new shift and e-brake boots last night and just installed them this morning. I'm so happy with them! The gray matches the interior very well and the yellow is subtle, but brings in the LY from the outside.

That is by far the classiest and most subtle use of plaid that I have seen yet on a Mini. Excellent work.

Don't know if i submitted this one before. This is the iPod dock that I built for my R53 (before it was totaled). I managed to salvage it, but I don't think it will fit in my R56.

My Maxell wouldn't be caught dead wearing tacky plaid.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

Then give it to me! I'll make sure it's well taken care of.

I want to see more you-ification! This is one of my favorite threads, but I suck at DIY stuff, so I will live vicariously through other, smarter people

Haha, love the Mr. Bean Mini.

The painted arches make the LY look great. Original idea on the chrome aero trim.

Blimey's newest bling

Since Doug stopped making ***** for automatics (a custom UJ engraved **** was my original plan) I HAD to do something... so I decided to coordinate with my MotorSwag UJ Skull badges:

And ended up with this:

Bwahahahaha!

Wife hates it. Me and my sons LOVE it. Three to one. That means it stays. Until she gets in the car. Then I have to put the stock **** back on.

Looking good. I like when you can tell that someone really thought out their mods before they made them. It looks like you had a concept for the car and executed it well

I did this a couple of months ago and forgot to post it in this thread:

Found the bulldog at a car show this summer and thought it appropriate:

Paul, the skull shifter - scary! Now if you could just put LEDs in his eyes you could have Halloween every time you drive your MINI.

Do you have any larger shots of your engine bay? That is really cool. I love the color match paint scheme. Just don't go doing the engine mount brackets in red, that would be to much. But they might be cool in black.

Chuck - your engine bay is su-weet! Hadn't seen what you had done to that in a while...

I've been thinking about more coloration of mine... but who am I kidding - Blimey's a year old and I've been too lazy / busy to get all the cosmoline outta the nooks and crannies of the bonnet and bay...

You can get skull ***** with the light up eyes... but they're not as nice as the one I found... oh well... and they're a little over the top. (Eh? What did I just say?)

FWIW (because I KNOW somebody has thought "WTF?"), I think the **** counts as you-ification because I had to devise a custom mount for it to make it work... it's not "plug and play".

You are being too hard on yourself - of course it is you-ification, and it looks great. I really like it!

Here is another of the engine after paintworks:

You realize, of course, that you need to pull your engine and clearcoat your strut towers, etc. so they have as much gloss as the rest of your under bonnet bling?

Which begs the question: why is the engine compartment not clear coated? The CR-V is as is our Expedition. Why not the MINI? Lazy I suppose.
Speaking of lazy, the engine stays in. Just don't want to go there!

Here's mine...it's not as detailed as MiniMybee but I like it none the less. Painted the two clips, the cover and the M7 logo on the bar with Electric blue.

I have to ask, where did you get the pattern for the custom sewing? I'd like to sew a set of these in alcantara and I don't want to rip apart my factory boots.

Thanks!

BTW, nice pattern.
