Interior/Exterior Anyone with MOMO shift knob?
#3
The poblem that I had with the MOMO was getting it down below the little plastic neck stopper. Pictured below is not my ****, but shows the problem. It was keeping the MOMO about 3/8" to 1/2" higher than the stock ****.
With a file, a hack saw and a little elbow grease, I was able to get rid of the problem.

I think kyriian's matches the MINI interior very nicely.

I went with the MOMO Evo Race. It looks much like Kyriian's, except that it has an aluminum strip at 9:00 that runs down the side (see below):
Since taking the picture I cut approx. 1/2" off the shaft and filed off the plastic neck, and used emory paper to take down the diameter of the shaft below that point to around 18 mm. The current height is somewhere around stock, and works well with my Helix SS.
