need new sidemarkers, opinions?

I have plans for the side vents, who's looks I'm not attracted to, but until I have the money for that, my side markers are broken, and keep falling out of the vent- which ones should I get for the time being?

clear or smoked?

one of mine broke and fell out, I just used some super strong hot glue on the back and glued it in. its solid enough it wont move, but it can be removed with enough force

I notice that the picture is linked from Moss Mini. I have tried the clear ones from Moss but returned them. To look good in that style, it needs to look clear as though it were made of glass. The product from Moss seemed to be made of a low grade plastic that had a slight cloudy and cheap appearance. I do want a clear style sidemarker and plan try again with a different brand and vendor. With the clear style, the bulb is very visible and you really also need to get silvered bulbs (that light up amber). The smoked style is a matter of preference and the kind of appearance you are trying to achieve.

I got 2 from Moss a couple of years ago and one side constantly had internal moisture inside, so I returned it for new ones a month later. The same thing happened with the new pair and I tried several fixes, but nothing worked. I just let it ride and got used to it until yesterday. I finally pulled them and put the original lenses back. Enough already!

I have the same problem with my smoked sidemarkers from Moss Mini. I called them and had them replaced with no problems, but like the others, it made no difference.

I agree... They just dont fit right... The ones in the pic are too small! I'd replace them with OEM ones personally...

why not just use the stock MCS ones? Those are TOO clear....you can see the bulb and the backing plastic. The crystallized look is far better in my opinion....and it would cost just a little more to buy some light tinting spray to smoke them.

I drilled a small hole at the bottom in the clear part for air to get in. I think it was acting as a terrarium

Like i said, you can get the smoke/tint spray that is meant for exterior lights. I sprayed some on one sidemarker that i broke, and it looked perfect. Nice and black, but still blinked

Has anyone tried any of the Testers paints for tinting? Been a long time since I've looked at Testers paint but seem to remember they had a smoke tint.

I thought it would be cheesy (hence i did it on my broken one) but it looked great.

If you prep/clean it well and spray it well (keep a good distance and steady movement) you can achieve oem quality with it.

won't it get weather beaten & scrape off?
if it wasn't curved so much i'd use tint flim

I have the Moss ones. I just deal with the moisture. But I live in AZ so it's only like 10 days a year!
