New Roof Artwork

Below are pics of my, actually my wife's, new MINI and a photo of my new roof decal for my 2005 MCS. All graphics by AesthetiCreations. What do you think??

I love the riveted look of the roof graphic! Was your wife the inspiration for the girl? If so, we need pics of the wife!

The color seems to be adjust wierd on your camera I thought you had an HO/B MINI cool graphics, I like how the theme carries through on all parts of the Blue MINI. Is the second MINI so you can get the keys back for the first?

mayim, thanks! yeah the rivets were a real nice touch. Mike at Aestheticreations and I went back and forth with this graphic for at least 4-5 weeks before it was finally finished as you see it. the art was originally a pin up picture by earl macpherson who was one of a few artists who gained notariety by doing this style. the most famous was alberto vargas who drew the Varga Girls. of course, these pictures were the inspiration for nose art on many WWII war planes which were in turn the inspiration for my roof decal. it really turned out great.

so my wife was not the inspiration for the art in question, but she inspires me nonetheless.

thanks for the reply! later - larry

hey drew, not sure what you are seeing as it looks true to the color on my monitor. who knows? anyway, it is a hyper blue/white 06 MC. even the hibiscus on the roof is color matched to the HB. we got the hawaiian seat covers from autogeek.net and they even have the cut outs for the airbags. they were alot cheaper than the wet okole's and suited our purposes (nothing against wet okole's as they are the best). we were really happy how the everything matched so well. the only downside to this was being unable to get the hyper blue matching interior for the MC. it is close to a $1000 to get the parts alone. so we settled for the silver dash and door bits.

just yesterday we walked out to the MINI from a store to find a couple taking pictures of the car in the parking lot.

as to getting my keys back, my wife loved my MINI, but she don't do stick. the new car is because she wanted it and it's automatic!

later, larry
