Blacked-out Tail lights

I am not sure if this has been covered yet, but are blacked-out tail lights legal in Texas? Is there a way to find out?

Im not sure about texas, but in Illinois, I have not had any problems. I recommend going with smoked tail lights instead of the charcoal/black covers. The smoke are usually 38% tint, and the charcoal/black is usually about 20% tint. my smoked covers just give it that nice darker look without sacrificing visibility and possible legal issues. good luck finding your answer!

Cool! I think I will try the smoked then. If I get in trouble, I will just take it off. Where did you order your kit from, DownSize? Was it fairly easy to install?

I got mine from Lamin-x I've used them for my last two cars and they are great. I got the tail light/ fender arch lights tint for $50. It was very easy, and i used the dry method. check out their site. i think it's Lamin-x.com. enjoy! also, they let me get charcoal for the arch lights and smoked for the tail lights, a great look IMO!
