and I guess an open ended wrench would remove the mirror from it's base anyway - sorry for even starting this discussion...

No need to be sorry...It needs to be understood that this mod is NOT for your everyday Mini...I only park mine at shows and still get the ocassional Darwin Prize who'll do me the favor of walking into them (happened at the Dragon even...and my wife was one of them ). Totally ruins my day as they need two people and a bubble to set correctly... :impatient

yup good point, besides even if you glue the damn thing on, if someone really wants to steal it they will do so at any cost, even if it means breaking it off.

so these bad boys need two people and a bubble to properly align them?
im confused. i understand that they're manual but they cant be simply adjusted by eyeball?

can someone experienced w/ these elaborate? msfitoy...

The right one could use help with a buddy unless you like hopping in/out of your car a lot...a bubble makes them level to the world...trust me...even with my job, that's hard to do with small mirrors...

I tried to get mine as level as possible too, but I needed to adjust the rear view first, too bad the mirror isnt adjustable inside the CF frame. I thought about pulling it apart to set them, but why bother.
