Installing stripes with contrasting pinstriping

I bought a set of stripes from a NAMer abroad and they just came today. White with black accents on the edges. The accents are just a roll of black pinstriping.

My question, which is not answered in the instructions (which mention using "fairy water" and "meth" - now that's a party! ) don't say anything about how to install these small stripes.

So - do I lay the black pinstriping along the EDGE of the white stripes, FLUSH with them (i.e., so both white and black stripes are ON the paint)...

OR

Do I lay them ON the edge of the white stripes (vinyl on vinyl)?

Thanks!

well i worked at a sign /vehichal graphics shop for 3 years, i would say its really personal preferance...i would maybe even leave a small gap between the white and black stripes. maybe the same width as the pin-stripes. but i would deffinatly put the pin stripe on the paint, and not the other vinyl.

I agree, it's up to you how to position the two stripes. I made some custom stripes using solid colored vinyl starting with the black and eventually adding the red positioned about 1/4" from the black. The red seems to give the bonnet a little extra 'pop'.

Experiment a little, you can always take the stripes off.

Why people sell stripes with seperate vinyl for the pinstripes is beyond me but in my experience the pin stripe was ment to go on top of the other vinyl to get the OEM look.

It's really up to you and how you feel comfortable putting them on. If that was what I got and no one told me they were seperate I would be quite upset.
Just my 2 cents

Do what you think looks good.
