Help with mounting rear spoiler
I bought an OEM rear spoiler from a forum member, it's for my 2003 MC. I have to drill two holes on the boot for mounting. I see where I need to remove the plastic plugs on the inside of the boot but, I'd rather not guess at the locations to drill for the exterior holes.
Can anyone help with ideas on how to do this? Anyone have a template or something that might work. I called my local MINI dealer and I cannot get any help from them.

I would suggest that you line up your drill, smallest bit first, in the center of the hole you uncovered when removing the black plastic caps. Original holes are elongated, to give ajustment left and right. Your final hole should be a little larger then the 5mm bolt on the spoiler. This should align the holes correctly for the forward/rearward location. If you need to slot the holes, for left/right adjustment, do so a little at a time. I would also use a spring loaded center punch to begin.

That's good advice from JS. I had to drill holes for my JCW spoiler and started with the smallest drill. At least you have the inside holes as a guide.
An alternative method is to get someone to hold the spoiler in place with the studs touching the sheetmetal and then mark their locations with a felt tip pen. I still think JS's method is best.
