Show me your modded liquid yellows!

Hey guys, it's me again. Now some of you may know me for the Chili Red "THIR13EN" car, but my dad joined the family with a Cooper of his own a couple of months back. And he doesn't know this, but I don't plan on keeping it stock...

So far, we've changed his wheels for 17"s, and that is about it. A "actual size" sticker, too. But what I do want is some examples of what can be done to the Liquid Yellows to make it better... In my opinion *please don't be offended* the liquid yellow/white is the worst combination from MINI... I just don't see that color-combo with a lot of potential.

Car is: 2003 MINI Cooper (non S) Liquid Yellow/White with sunroof, chrome bumper-covers, sport exhaust tip. No body-kit (yet), and no rear spoiler (yet)... I'll update this post later with some pics to give you guys some ideas.

Show me what you got!

Thank you,
Leo.

PS: I forgot the European license plate "AMARELIN".
PS2: My original idea was to go with a checkered-theme, but again, I wanna see what you guys got before I do anything "major" to it...
PS3: AMARELIN will only be started after THIR13EN is finished, and it's been 4 years in the making, so I'm not promising anything soon... at all.

Hey, I think I've seen that back-window design at gotmini.com!

I'm kinda liking the stripes, and the body-colored calipers, that might be cool... The rest is not my taste, though. That wing is a little too out there, if you ask me.

Still a good start, thank you!
Leo.

Sharp! What's the rating on the window tint?

ALso, Yellowjacket, is that a custom Mini wings graphic, or did you purchase it someplace?

I'm not sure what the window tint is, it's not as dark as that picture makes it look.
Since that photo, I've swapped the mirror caps for yellow, and added custom Sin City MINI Club logo yellow on black center caps for the wheels.

I'd like to add some black to the door area. Maybe get some powdercoated door handles and petrol tank lid.

First off good idea for a thread, It will be nice to have one place to look and see what combos look good with yellow. Secondly;I agree with you that Ly/w is a hard color combo to work with. I've been seriously thinking about painting the roof black. Heres a pic of my car you've seen, but for everyone else.

It's really hard to tell from those pics, what color is your scoop?

Here is a Sin City MINI Club car that's LY/W with a few mods.
The car is known as the MINIbar as the boot is usually stocked with Jack Daniels.

I think a LY would look great with a silver roof. Hope someone does one, soon.

I'll have to go ans take some more recient shots. Most of the ones in my gallery are from last year. As for exterior I have the frosted vinal flames (ghost flames) which I think look really good on the LY. Very hard to photograph though. Changed the wheels, front grill, and added lights (shots in gallery).

Good luck.

:( i never did anything to my LY/W Cooper... i agree it's hard to make something of it... the colors were too weird to make a theme for me.

Thanks! Although, I'm going back to S-Lites soon as I like the way they look much better than the BBS.
