applying pinstripes

I've bought a roll of 1/4" black pinstriping to play with. I thought I'd run a stripe down either side of my bonnet stripes just to make it a bit different.
So should I just clean the area alongside the stripes with my de-greaser (the purple stuff) prior to putting the stripes on? I just Zaino'd the whole car about 4 weeks ago and don't want to remove all of it just to do the pinstripes. I thought I'd put a coat or 2 of Zaino on this weekend after I've finished with the pinstriping.

surface prep for stripes.

You need to wipe the area with 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water to clean off the surface prior to applying tape stripes-if you want them to last.
