Light In Sight- For those pesky traffic lights...

Saw this in a completely different thread and just thought I'd put it up seperate so people could find it.

Light In Sight Official Sight

I have no idea if it works (but people that post here say it does)...

I have no idea if it's fugly...

I have no idea how hard/easy it is to install...

I have no idea if it will turn yellow and look like shed snake skin after a year of baking on the sun...

... but as a 6'1" driver, I know for a fact that I can't see some traffic lights past my Cooper S Cabrio top and rear view mirror, even with the seat all the way down, so I think I'll try it. Worst case- it looks like you could trim it down if it takes up too much space. I had my eye on the old-fashioned chrome viewers that I remember from the Classic Hot Rod shows I went to when I was a kid, but I didn't want to put something chrome on my dashboard. This looks like a valid solution.

Anyone have one and want to share experiences and pics?

Just stuck one on. Works great. No more leaning over to see the metering lights on the Bay Bridge!!

Thanks, Jim. Got a pic of one on a Mini? Don't get hit trying to take pics in a moving car, though.

I don't know if i have any specific pics of mine.. but I love mine.. can't live without it

mine is 2 and a half yrs old and no yellowing. It installs like a vinyl decal. some water and press onto the windshield, flattening the bubbles out... it doesn't get in the way of your field of vision, but it DOES bring anything that would normally be "overhead" and out of sight into view.. this is good for stoplights but bad for the sun.. you get used to it I guess..

Best $13 you can spend for your MINI.

Works great, don't notice it when I don't need it, and love it when I do.

Installs in about 5 seconds and removes in about 1 second.

Hasn't turned into yellow snake skin in 3 years of being outside 24-7

I've never bothered to take a photo of it, but I can assure everyone that it is well worth it.

Love mine. Have had it for over a year in the California Sun (car parks outside at work and at home) and no yellowing to speak of. It looks like it does in the pic posted, but you can apply it right at the edge if you want . Simple install/uninstall (static cling, I didn't need water). I have two traffic light on my commute where, if I am the first car at the light, I would have to lean way forward in order to see the signal. This little gem lets me sit in comfort.

Just slapped one on myself- haven't tried it out yet, but here's a pic. (It's at the top of the windshield, to the right of Gonzo's feet.)

Couldn't get a good one, mostly because it's so small. Very low pro.

I'm 5'-8" and still can't see the stoplight if I'm in pole position.

So, I guess the next question is: where do people have it installed? ezra360 seems to be on the driver's side, halfway between the edge and the rear view mirror. How about others?

Mine's in about the same place. Up high where it's out of the way and dirctly in front of me when I'm behind the wheel.

Absolutely one of the best and cheapest mods I've done to the car. It's been probably eighteen months in the Florida sun and is hasn't yellowed, gotten crispy, or spawned odd critters.

I have mine just left of the rearview mirror. The right edge of the light-insight butts up against wehre the roof 'dip's behind the rearview mirror (besta way I could describe it).
