Interior/Exterior I won my wheels!

What don't you like about them? I have 17"s now, and they seem fine. Of course, I have nothing to compare them to. These will be my winter tires (the Dunlops are All-Season run flats and my 17's are running Performance). I was actually hoping to get 15" "holies", but these more expensive rims (my second favorite Mini rim ever) were a better bargain than the cheapest price I found anyplace else. Go figure.

I don't mean to bust your bubble or rain on your parade, but those are all seasons & not really snow tires. I have those on my MSC & they suck on the snow & ice. My advice to you would be to sell those tires in the marketplace. Use that money for some real snow tires. Then put those on your new wheels. Great buy you got on those, by the way.

After talking to a few tire guys, I decided that I really need All Seasons more than snow tires, actually. If the white stuff starts to fall, I'll be in my 4WD Suburban. I have every confidence in my ability 6to drive in snow- it's the OTHER people that I worry about (shudder).
Worst case, if I'm at work or something and it snows while I'm there, I only have to go like 2 miles to get home. I'm much more concerned about having good grip in the wet, actually- we get weeks and weeks of solid drizzle and rain here in Ohio. Bleh.
But thanks! I actually have a set of snow tires all picked out to buy should my driving habits change- if I do, I'll put them on these 16"-ers and leave my 17" performance rubber on my other rims. I hear good things about the Pirelli's, and they're pretty inexpensive (like $60 per tire).

On my acura integra, i ve had 4 wheel sets varying from 14, 15, 16 in various tread patterns.
Luckily they are the same 4x100 and offset so I can use the remaining two wheelsets on my mini.
The 17's that come in the sport package are heavy and transmit all the road imperfections through to the car due to the low profile sidewall. In my sort of daily driving, a 16" rim would be better.
