My first little mod ever!

Hello!
well this is my first time doing a DIY project on a car. It was fun and challenging for me. I think MINI really makes having a car much more fun. I had Honda Civic for over 10 years and never had thought of doing anything on it, and after I bought my KUMA I just can't stop thinking how to make it more personalize. What do you guys think? My plan is adding a hint of red in the hidden area of my PS/S MCS so it looks a little spicy while keeping the overall cold silver appearence.

Gonna attempt to paint the break red next, will upload picture when I finish.

especially thanks for the DIY gutter guard hood scoop post.

Looks good getata! I'm thinking some red mirror covers would go well with that.

How did you attach the gutter guard to the opening? I don't see anything on the inside of the scoop to attach it to.

I followed the DIY post and "sandwich" it between the scoop and the "black plastic piece" behind the scroop. Hope it helps!

How about a few red LED's behind there for night effects?

I like the red. It's a nice little pop of color.

you can find it in Home Depot for a few bucks. If you do a search you can find the complete DIY guide in this Forum.

I just painted my brakes and waiting it to be dry, will post update pics when I put back up the tyres.

The LED idea seems interesting, but it reminds me of an Old TV show which has a "smart" black car with flashing red light on the bonnet. Anyone remember the name of that TV show?

Kenchan, I'll be making a white one for myself, but will have plenty of gutter guard left over. If you'd like me to make one for you, just lemme know.

acitydweller, go to your local Home Depot (although with you being in NYC, I'm not sure how easy that is) and pick up a single piece of "Gutter Guard" for $1.87. There's no need to buy the three pack for 6 bucks. If you want to paint it, grab a can of spray paint as well. I bought a can of high heat white spray paint. But the silver of the guard all by itself looks good as well. Then follow this DIY: http://www.tech-esq.com/MINI/how_to_...oop_grille.htm

Too easy! And the results look great.
