I believe so. on mini2.org, there are aero kit'ed cars with the chromeline exterior. They have the chrome grills on the front aero bumper.

OK so here is the reason I poseted this. I wanted to get an idea of how would be in the market for Aero kit inserts.

I now have a new line of decals for that area. The biggest problem is the Factory decal that goes in the back are Pineapple. So......

The decals are up!!

You can now get the Aero kit bumper inserts from my website. I also have some new designs to put in that area as well.

If your interested in Aluminum sheet, diamond plate, or CF please contact me.

Here is the link to the site page.

Talk about coincidence! I was just telling my girlfriend yesterday that I might need new stickers because mine are looking yellowish/faded...

I really like the one with the first pattern (\\\\ ////).

Now on the site, it says "vinyl color", and it gives you the option. The "color" that you're reffering to there is the actual design color or background color?

In the pic you have posted, for example, the rear vinyl decal would be called "holes-pattern, black-color, MINI Cooper" - correct?

Is there a way to change the color of the background? Not that I would want to, just curious, really.

Looks sharp, though.
Leo.

Have you thought about a fog light black out sticker for the well, the front fogs?

It would be an option to those who want the look but not want to pay MINI's price. What ever that would be.

Leo.

I guess that is a bit confusing so I will have to fix that.

There is color of vinyl and then a design style.

So if you wanted the \\\\//// then you would put Slanted for the design and brushed silver for the color to get the OEM color. The lines and hole will either be cut or printed in black or silver.

Those fog light get really hot so that is why you can't put anything there. Maybe a plastic cap put you would still have to take it off every time you used them.

I didn't mean actually covering the fog light. MINI sells a fog light black out kit that blacks out the area around the fog.

for example:

Without the blackout kit

With the blackout kit

I made just that. it is part of the Aero insert package on the site.

I can make these in any color. If you don't want any body color to show than I can make that too. It would just take a little heat and stretch

I'm curious...those of you who went to the trouble of masking your license plate...is it because people out of state would be more tempted to make their way and find your Mini to steal it or are the people in your neighborhood too nice to do that?

lol ask misfit (not meaning to be confusing, you know who i mean) about the perils of having your actual car and person linked to the history you create on the internet...

What is this piece made out of? What's the best way to get the black out look: OEM Mini blackout insert, black vinyl insert (by dragonflyer), or paint (since the body shop is painting the rest of the bumper already)?

Thanks,
Matt

There was a MINI branded blackout panel that was $80 I don't know if the sell them separetly now or not. the part number is or was 51 11 0 151 570

Or you can get Dragonflyer to make you one.

Dragonflyer, I didn't know you already made these. I was just trying to help you out with ideas.

http://www.eagleday.com/aetr.html
