The MINI paint part number is not imported to the US. I had a body shop do a couple tests of different methods and all three looked excellent...

 

Witch method did you go with?

 

Hem araba, hem fotoğraflar... Beautiful composition -- love the OEM look. Knowing that you're in Istanbul and riding so low gives me the courage to do the same once I get the KWs back on this spring.

 

That is the best black/white MINI I've ever seen! Not many of them with aero kits and nice wheels. Would you consider getting white bonnet stripes with contrasting black roof stripes? This is something that I have always dreamed of seeing. Any photoshop pros out there??

 

My body shop ended up spraying the textured underlay and painting over it with my body color, then dulling the paint from my body color (jet black)

 

phaedrus why did you take your KWs off man? dont tell me you did it just for the winter?

did anyone have there kit put on after they got there car. I am looking for a cost on having mine painted.

I needed to have one of them repaired under warranty. Had to put my stock suspension back on in the meantime, but my car has been garaged since November.

But even if I was driving my car during winter, I most definately would put my stock setup back on -- with all the salt a ridiculous amounts of snow we often get here, I'd say it's an option I can't afford not to take advantage of.

There are MINI part codes for the black, textured paint but the codes are only good in Europe. Find a paint shop that uses BASF paint. BASF has the actual formula for the textured black used on MINIs and BMW's. I just had my done and the black pieces look awesome.

Wooho! I never thought I'd get this done. I don't see too many Coopers with aero kits (only S's) so I'm diggin' the uniqueness of the look. The shop painted my calipers with OEM Liquid Yellow too for a perfect match.

 

I will try to find that out for you.

Front Aero kit only

 

^Looks great! I should have my aero front bumper this week.

 

Has anyone had problems with the painted arches? With my car getting mostly repainted and having the aero kit added, I requested that they paint the arches too, but the body shop manager recommended against it.
