Yes no need for an intercooler on a turbo or a SC for that matter. BUT if you want to make power then YES you need an intercooler.

Let me introduce everyone to my ignorance. My ignorance, everyone. I fully admit to being an idiot about this one. I seriously thought that the new engine didn't have an intercooler. Upon further checking, it appears that the location of the intercooler has changed, and hence the non-functional hood scoop.

Amen to that. A friend's Mustang has a non-functional scoop. I'd open it up to at least cool off the engine bay a little!

^^ yeh, im sure someone will make a ram-air intake with that
scoop. but will need to somehow route it so the water doesn't
get on the filter itself. hummm...

Easiest. Mod. Ever.

Thanks, Kenchan- you did an awesome job trimming it down- it slid right into the scoop, no problem. the hardest part was literally removing the 2 8MM nuts and the 2 phillips screws in the searing 98-degree, 80% humidy weather...

I'm still on the prowl for a perforated steel solution, but this subtle, classy MOD will serve me in the meantime. Thanks!

here's my silver one... my camera sucks in daylight...
so i cocked the frame to elude. now the front mesh
matches with my rear Aero faux vents.

ive been getting a few PM's on these grills after selling out.

I can make more this week if anyone's interested. Please send me a PM.
I will ask for prepayment as it takes time and effort to make these and
test fit them. I plan to ship out on 8/4 and 8/5 via USPS priority mail.
I will offer silver and matt-black (same as ImagoX version) again.

I like that black paint you used... it has just a HINT of sheen... sort of between true matte and satin. Was it Rustoleum or something else? heat doesn't seem to affect them at all (probably because of all the air flow past them).

Well, if it's engine enamel then that's not going ANYWHERE. Good to know!

I should have got a silver one... the black's almost TOO subtle - I want to show it off! But the silver really looks silly on cars I've seen with the black aero grille. I'd recommend to people that, if they have any chrome up front, they go slver, and if they have the aero grille, they go black.

LOL... I just realized that YOU have that look going too... I was thinking about when I saw Dragonman's car at the Cinci Fun Run last weekend, actually:

You can't really tell in this pic, but even with all the white accents, the silver grille matrial really doesn't match the flat black look of the aero grille (IMHO, of course), and if I'd had my grille peice on me when I got there I would have suggested to him that we swap.

PS- Blue is indeed nice, but Orange, in a word...

ROOLZ!

akkk, don't worry about it. the primary purpose i went with silver was
to match the silver faux vents on my aero rear bumper. the front
now looks looks consistent with the rear. i likes.

them last week because i had to use up my vacation hours from
work. i don't foresee making any more in the near future...
