I would give it another month or so. As I have experienced many times before, it usually takes 3-4 times as much time to get anything developed than you plan...

you may want to talk to the company Essential MINI over in the UK about this. They have been working at getting everything perfect for quite a while now. They might be a good source on hints and places where you should expect to run into problems.

Just let him know someone from M|U told you about it as that is where he was discussing it.

I would just like an exact replacement for the speedometer on the chrono package that had numbers for each 10MPH division and dashes for each 5MPH. Why didn't the factory just do that? I still can't get used to the way it is now ... yuck.

Any option for something like that?

I am all over this and I have the chrono pack setup. I would love a replacement for all of them.

Aaron- I think I can send you all of my gauges if you want to use them for testing purposes as long as they come back to me in one piece. The car is currently away for testing purposes and i can find out if the gauges are really needed or not...

It's been a month! Are we there yet?

I was just given a very cool idea for a related custom mod... I'd be digging into the same place and it would be a great simultaneous change.

I started up working on this project myself....i have made the vector file (the file type accepted by vinyl graphics companies) for the tach so far...just need to source some plexiglass to lay it on to make a complete replacement.

here is a sample pic of the vector thus far:

better yet....it could easily be made into actual metal

Someone just needs to convert it from vector format to CAD format and then turn it in to www.emachineshop.com You save money the more you order

^^^ What about the LEDs? Just laying a replacement down without some sort of method to properly spread the lights from LEDs will basically leave you will a bunch of REALLY bright LEDs shining in your face.

I tried a similar project last summer, but it ended up the trash because I couldn't solve the LED issue.

I'm kinda missing what you are saying but i will try responding to what i think you meant.

If you were to get metal ones made, you would get VERY thin PETG plastic cut to a circular shape...spray tint it (so you can have the arrows, "check engine", and higbeam signals tinted on)....thats all the current one is doing to disperse light as well
