I have been working with a factory on this 3 universal 3 toggle switch bank.
The toggle tips light up red when in use. It also has a small carbon fiber insert. this would be a cheaper version of the OEM bank.

I like it. It would come in handy for "extra accessories". We know there is no such thing as too many accessories on a MINI. I'm like Trip and wonder where a good place to install it would be though.
this would be nice for my idea of NASCAR type switches. you would have to turn on certain things before pressing a start stop button. it would be nice i think
I was thinking of filling up all of my empty toggle holes with non-working switches...just for fun. Still haven't figured out how to do this.
I'd like to do the same thing. I have an empty toggle hole for the rear foglamp. I'm thinking about ordering a factory switch from the dealer, and dipping the chrome toggle part in the bright red liquid vinyl that you use for tool handles.
Then, I'll use one of the joke decals along with the bright-red switch - perhaps the rocket launcher or the ejection-seat?

Exactly!
But where did you get those "joke decals?"

I've done it for my missing rear fog switch (non-existant in Canada)...
The hardest part is to find a MINI toggle! I got mine from GBMINI for almost nothing (2$ I believe).
Installation is very easy:
1- Remove the downtubes
2- Remove the screws on each side of the toggles assembly
3- Unplug the assembly
4- Gently unclip the front panel
5- Gently drill a hole for the new toggle
6- Clip the new toggle in place (it clips easily)
7- Re-install everything back
8- Enjoy
I have 15 of these units for 42.00 each let me know if anyone wants any.
Could you post a close-up pic of the terminals on the back of the switch plate? (Edit-just saw the second set of pics. Never mind.) What kind of connectors does it take and what are the actual dimensions of the switch plate? I'm thinking of surface mounting this on the driver's bolster to replace my stock driving light switch and PIAA fogs switch. Thanks.
Since this attaches from the FRONT, I assume that this will not hang beneath the existing switch bank... It looks like wherever you decide to mount this (perhaps the knee bolster?) you'll need to cut out a pretty large hole. As such, I wuold not personally buy or install this.
What I WOULD buy, however, is something just like this that's designed to install to the bottom side of the existing switch block. Since I have some extra accessories that I'm needing to switch on and off, I drew this up for custom fabrication:
That said... I like YOUR design better. Is there any chance you could go back to the drawing board and rethink this, with the idea to make it so that it can be mounted beneath the existing switches?
Could you post the actual dimensions of this switch panel? I would consider replacing my stock driving and PIAA fog switches with your panel (if it covers the holes in the bolster for the other switches). Thanks.

The toggles use a regular female blade type connector. Something you would see on the back of most aftermarket switches. I will try to include 9 of these connector with each kit.
Here are some more shots.
