Ive just bought a unpainted one for my Electric blue S and cant wait to fit it.Im doing away with a carbon JCW scoop and recon its going to give that aggressive look ive wanted,Plus its bound to improve cooling over a certain speed and help with a power gain.
Bring it on i say ,and to all stray cats beware!! you might just get sucked in.

That hood scoop is one of the only Palo Uber Mini products I like. But batrugger, wow, such an aggressive & stylish setup (Red-Rum is great). Is there a website where you can order those custom euro plates? Also how hard was your headlight blackout? I have been through the whole process helping a friend black out his RSX-S headlights, so I'm thinking about that next on my Mini.

Thanks, it is actually my wifes car. Europlates.com for the custom plates. The headlights were a pain, but nothing too complicated, 250 degrees in the oven for 20 mins and then just slowly pry them apart. You will have to trim the excess glue off to get them to reseal right. Re-heat them to seal them back up.

I think it looks pretty good (in a different sort of way - but if we all wanted conventional but reasonably good looking cars in a sleek sort of way like the Honda Civic we wouldn't have bought MINIs in the first place!). Have you done any impromptu (I know, not as good as having thermocouples, etc.) checking - i.e. does the intercooler feel any cooler after long runs in the heat than with the stock scoop?

Ignoring vendor claims, how much does this scoop improve airflow to the TMIC? Have you tested it or at least noticed any difference in when heat soak occurs?
